A new production of Edward Allan Baker's “North of Providence” will be brought to life at the Chain Theatre, November 2nd and 3rd.
Carol (played by Francesca Ravera) comes to her parents’ home to roust Bobby (played by André Vauthey), her jobless and depressed brother, from bed, and to convince him to visit their dying father in the hospital. Bobby, in denial that the man is dying, rejects all her efforts to reconnect with him, and to break through the cage of anger and pain he has locked himself into, until she finally manages to push the right buttons and the secret that’s been eating at him for years comes out.
North of Providence is a painful domestic crisis between brother and sister, who are uncovering old wounds on the last day of their father’s life.
The show begins at 7:30 pm on November 2 and 3 at The Chain Theatre, 312 west 36th Street, New York, NY 10018. Tickets can be reserved at https://northofprovidence.eventbrite.com
