That “Certain Age” is an evening of short operas composed by Anne Phillips about aging with grace, courage, and humor. Comic and uplifting musical vignettes from the golden years of life. On the way to Rome to celebrate her 50th birthday a woman meets a young Italian man high above the clouds. An elderly former actress is seated in a park. A filmmaker making a movie about death insists she move. Conversation about life beyond the womb by two unborn children. Grave misunderstandings when a husband pays his respects to a passed partner with his new wife in tow. Also featuring excerpts from Phillips' musical Damn Everything But the Circus and more.
