Norwegian sounds fill the stage at Carnegie Hall in A Soul Filled Journey with Music of Ola Gjeilo, one of the most performed living composers in the choral world. Known for his distinctive soundworld that evolves a style described as cinematic and evocative, with a lush, harmonious sound, the concert features Gjeilo's new work Twilight Mass commissioned by DCINY, as well as many of his best-known pieces like Sacred Heart, Across the Vast, Eternal Sky, Dark Night of the Soul, and Luminous Night of the Soul. Alongside hundreds of singers and the Distinguished Concerts Orchestra with Gjeilo accompanying them on piano, conductors Dr. Irene Messoloras and Dr. Jose Daniel Flores-Caraballo take audiences on A Soul Filled Journey with Anna Schubert as soloist.
Carnegie Hall is at 250 W. 57th Street, Floor 19, New York, NY 10107, New York, NY.
