Langhorne Players is holding auditions for The 39 Steps, a hilarious play based on the Alfred Hitchcock movie and John Buchan novel. The 39 Steps has been described as mixing a Hitchcock masterpiece with a juicy spy novel and a dash of Monty Python.
Auditions are being held at the Spring Garden Mill (1440 Newtown-Richboro Rd, Newtown, PA 18940). Director Rob Norman seeks three (3) men and one (1) woman.
Richard Hannay (male, age about 40): English accent required
Annabella Schmidt/Pamela/Margaret (female, age youngish): English, Scottish, and German accents required
Man #1 and Man #2 (any age) each play about 15 roles—anywhere from a police man to a salesman to newsboy to an old Scottish woman to a thug—and must do English, Scottish, and German accents.
Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script, but prior reading of the script is strongly advised. For questions, e-mail the director at ranorman@me.com
