AUDITIONS

Now auditioning for characters from the magical Christmas story THE POLAR EXPRESS! This holiday season the B&O Railroad Museum is hiring individuals who can portray lovable characters for the popular holiday event, THE POLAR EXPRESS ™ Train Ride! Here is your chance to become one of these beloved characters:
· Hero – speaking role: the indecisive young boy (age 11-15 years)
· Chefs - who dance while serving hot chocolate & cookies on board the train before its departure. During the train ride Chefs sing Christmas carols and turn the pages of the book, THE POLAR EXPRESS, while the story is narrated.
· Hobo – older male actor: the mysterious passenger on the train
· Conductor- (age 20-35) A male speaking role

Requirements:
· Must be able to attend morning dress rehearsals on Monday November 23 and Tuesday, November 24, 2015. Must be able to perform at this event at the B&O Railroad Museum in Baltimore, Tuesday, November 24,Friday, November 27, Saturday, November 28 & Sunday, November 29 (Thanksgiving weekend).
· Chefs must be able to serve hot chocolate and cookies on board the train while dancing.
· Chefs must be able to sing Christmas Carols on board the train
· Must be able to perform in character with and without written script
· Must be able to interact with passengers and provide a cherished holiday experience and memory
· A minimum of one year of drama and theatrical experience

Pay Rate: $15 per hour
