The Play Eleven people trapped inside an inn during an ice storm. Then one of them dies. Investigations, accusations, and revelations happen in quick succession as the ten remaining survivors try to piece together what has happened. Silver Thaw is a world premiere by a local Alaskan playwright!

Peyton 60-ish, front desk attendant, a stubborn know-it-all

Deena mid-30's, housekeeping manager, strong and sharp-witted

Helen early 70's, kitchen hostess, friendly and eccentric (becoming a bit daffy)

Shelly early 20's, the innkeeper's daughter on her first shift as manager

Menard 50-ish, a hotel guest, a nice enough guy buta little mysterious

Gabriella 30's or 40's, a disgruntled housekeeper, speaks Spanish, impatient but hardworking

McLean late 50's, a hotel guest, marketing executive, warm and affable

Trooper Jim late 20's, a Washington State Trooper, folksy and jovial

Owens early 30's, a hotel guest, marketing executive, cocky and often rude

Vanderbilt 50-ish, a hotel guest, snobby and prone to constant complaining

Elwood Tetherman mid-50's, a hotel guest on his honeymoon, pious, pleasant, and in love

Mayzie Tetherman mid-50's, Elwood's wife, pious, pleasant, and in love

The Audition
As usual, the auditions for Silver Thaw will be held at ACT. You'll be asked to do a cold read as your audition. You'll be given a section of the script and asked to read it aloud with the other people at the audition. You don't need to prepare anything in advance, but you are welcome to bring a headshot and resume with you.
