FUSE and DRAGON THEATRES AUDITION INFORMATIONRedwood City Play Festival: Co-EXIST: stories of unlikely connection Performances At Dragon Theatre Dragon Theatre and Fuse Theatre are proud to announce the 2nd Annual joint one act play festival in Redwood City this June. The Redwood City Play Festival will combine the strengths of both companies to produce one act plays and wrap-around events centered around a central theme and will highlight local artists in local businesses throughout the festival week. This year’s theme is Co-EXIST: stories of unlikely connection. We are casting non-equity actors and invite actors to audition for the two one act productions. We are committed to diversity and representation onstage, and encourage all actors to audition regardless of race, color, national origin, gender identity, sexual orientation, legal status, neurological or physical ability, or educational level. LOVE SERVING LOVE by Leanna Keyes About the intense relationship between Martina Navratilova, the most decorated women’s tennis player of all time, and Renée Richards, the first out trans athlete. Renée wants to play tennis. Facing the US Tennis Association’s objections, she fights her way all the way to the state Supreme Court for her right to play in the women’s league. Once she’s in, she meets the fresh hotshot Martina—a communist defector who will one day become the most decorated Wimbledon player of all time. But right now, she’s just a closeted young girl who strikes up an unlikely match with the woman who might just teach her to turn the power of the crowd to her advantage. Private lives and public stories clash in this new one act play.
