OPEN AUDITIONS, JANUARY 14 and 16, 2013: Paul’s Players is casting for Quilters, a musical that celebrates a pioneer woman and her daughters as they record the family's hardships and joys in the exquisite quilts they make by hand, each quilt ‘block’ commemorating an event in their lives. Auditions will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. both evenings, at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, 27475 Five Mile Road, Livonia.
Auditioners should bring a prepared song (with sheet music) that shows your singing range. An accompanist will be provided. Wear comfortable clothing. You will be asked to read from the script and learn some simple movement.
Roles include seven women of varying ages (fifteen years and older) and voice ranges.
Performance dates are May 3-5, 2013, and May 10-12, 2013.

ABOUT PAUL’S PLAYERS
Paul’s Players is a community theater group based in Livonia, Michigan, and housed in St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, 27475 Five Mile Road. The group was founded in 2011 by Patricia Hutchison, a retired Livonia Public School music and drama teacher. Its mission is to provide opportunities for people of all ages to participate in drama and musical theater. Now in the midst of its second full season, the group’s November production was The Man Who Came to Dinner.
Also coming up for the 2012-2013 season is a Valentine’s Day musical program entitled Jerry Smith, Family and Friends, an evening of musical entertainment, featuring long time Livonia educator and musician Jerry Smith, vocal groups Fifth Season and The Artist’s Ensemble, and Kim Swan, Mezzo-Soprano. Paul’s Players will host summer musical theater camps for children, as well as a full musical workshop production for adults and youth.
