We are seeking three actors for a week long workshop at Rising Sun Performance Companies New Work Incubator & Residency on Governors Island! Medusa Underwater is a new play by Viviana Prado-Núñez, an award winning author and 2019 National Young Playwright in Residence with the Echo Theater Company.
We are seeking actors who are available the week of July 1st through 7th from 10am-5:30pm.

CASTING:
Medusa (20's-30's) — Latinx or Afro-Latinx
Perseus (20's-30's) — Different than Medusa and Sister, but P.O.C.
Sister (20's-30's) — Latinx or Afro-Latinx
SET DESCRIPTION:
Medusa’s room, divided by a one-way mirror. Somewhere a shower with a bathtub like a fish tank. Somewhere an above ground with a payphone. Perseus descends from a submarine ladder. Perseus’ side of the room is made of light. Medusa’s side is a cave. Sister comes from a trapdoor and travels through the mirror like it doesn’t exist.
COSTUMES:
Sister wears a custodial uniform. She has two heads and two voices. She is blind. Medusa cannot be dressed as a monster. She is a human being.
The others are up to you.
PRONUNCIATION:
Medusa and Sister say “Medusa” in Spanish.
Perseus says it in English.
