(WINNETKA, IL) January 22, 2011 - Big Noise Theatre Company, a division of Winnetka Theatre, will hold auditions for their final production of their 2011-2012 season, LEADER OF THE PACK. Audition Date and Time: Sunday, February 19, 2012 from 7-9:30 pm. No appointments necessary. Callbacks (if needed): Wednesday, February 22nd. Audition Location: Winnetka Community House, 620 Lincoln Avenue, Winnetka IL 60093 Rehearsals begin: Late February/Early March Show Dates: Weekends from April 27-May 13, 2012. Performance Location: Prairie Lakes Theater, Des Plaines, IL Director: Nancy Flaster Choreographers: Ann Fink and Nancy Flaster Music Director: Robert Deason Producer/Stage Manager: Daiva Paulis LEADER OF THE PACK is a musical biography of Ellie Greenwich whose doo-wop sounds skyrocketed to the top of the sixties charts. Music includes hits such as “Be My Baby,” “Chapel of Love,” “River Deep Mountain High,” “Da Doo Ron Ron,” “Hanky Panky,” and of course the title song. SEEKING: 6-8 men and 6-8 women – Ages 20+ Seeking actors who are strong singers, dancers and movers for most roles. Please prepare 32 bars of a 60’s style song and bring sheet music in your key. An accompanist will be provided. Be prepared to dance (jazz shoes or sneakers suggested). Picture and resume requested but not required. Big Noise now offers all cast members participation in its CAST (Comp Assisted STipend) program. Each cast member will be provided with ticket vouchers which may be sold at full value of $24.00 each. The proceeds from the tickets may be kept by the performer providing a potential stipend.
