Looking for:
Non-Equity Asian Male (Mid 20's-30's)
For the role of Lt. Ito, who is in charge of the comfort women camps in World War II. Ito basically has a gestapo type of attitude and is the opposite of his acquaintance, Lt. Saito who has been taught to treat women with respect.
The actor cast in this role will need to be available the rest of November and December in the evenings. (Rehearsals will begin toward the end of November). No rehearsals December 24th-28th because of Christmas. The position is unpaid but you may possibly be eligible for awards and cash prizes based on the quality of your performance at the Festival.
The show runs January 9th-28th at the Secret Theatre in Long Island City, NY. This play is part of a short play lab / one act competition. More information on show times and tech rehearsals.
