All potential cast members auditioning for this production must be age 16 or older. We will be casting a limited number of high school age cast members in the ensemble and possibly in the roles of Dean and Lorraine. Adults of all ages are urged to audition for this production. We will be casting both singers and/or dancers in the ensemble. While the ability to both sing and dance would be great, please consider auditioning if just singing or dancing is your strength!

Those auditioning are asked to come prepared to sing 32 bars of music in the style of the show that will best display their vocal ability. An accompanist will be provided. A CD may also be used for accompaniment. However, there should be no background vocals on the accompaniment track. Additionally, those auditioning will be asked to read from the script during the audition. Sides will be posted 3-4 weeks prior to the auditions. The audition form may be downloaded at the top of this page. Please bring a completed audition form to the audition. You may attach a resume to the form. Also, if you do not have a headshot available, we will take your photo at the audition.

Auditions will consist of:

PRODUCTION INFORMATION

The production will take place at the Everett High School auditorium:
Friday, February 21st at 7pm
Saturday, February 22nd at 7pm
Sunday, February 23rd at 2pm

Rehearsals will commence on October 6th and take place from 5pm-9pm almost every Sunday evening until tech week. Rehearsals will take place at the Delta Enrichment Center and Everett High School. Although there will be multiple run-throughs of the entire production prior to Tech Week, Tech Week rehearsal dates are:

Sunday, February 16th: 2pm-done
Tuesday, February 18th: 6pm-done
Thursday, February 20th: 6pm-done

Due to our unique “once a week” rehearsal schedule we hope to attract cast members who may want to return to performing in community theater productions, but don’t necessarily have the time to commit to a 4-5 night per week rehearsal schedule. This rehearsal format also allows for cast members to participate in more than one production at the same time, by coordinating the rehearsal schedules.
