The Athens Theatre in DeLand will hold open auditions by appointment only for A Year with Frog & Toad on January 4, 2014 (Saturday) at the Athens Theatre starting at 10am until 2pm. An additional Call Back Date (to include a dance audition) is Sunday January 5. The Athens Theatre is located at 124 N. Florida Avenue in Downtown DeLand.
Rehearsals begin February 15th, 2013
Performances will be held on:
March 5 - 10:30am, March 6 - 10:30am, March 7 - 10:30am & 7:30pm,
March 8 - 2:30pm & 7:30pm, March 9 - 2:30pm, March 11 - 10:30am,

NOTES/WHAT TO BRING:
· Present a prepared one minute memorized monologue of actors choosing.
· 16-32 Bars of a standard musical theatre piece. (Bring Sheet Music for accompanist)
· Typed Resume and Headshot.
· You may be asked to do a cold read from the Script.
OVERVIEW:
This whimsical show follows two great friends -- the cheerful, popular Frog and the rather grumpy Toad -- through four, fun-filled seasons. Waking from hibernation in the Spring, Frog and Toad plant gardens, swim, rake leaves, go sledding, and learn life lessons along the way. The two best friends celebrate and rejoice in their differences that make them unique and special. Part vaudeville, part make believe, all charm, A YEAR WITH FROG AND TOAD tells the story of a friendship that endures, weathering all seasons.
FROG
Caring and loyal. Always looking out for his friends. The calmer, more zen of both he and Toad. Simultaneously adventurous and assured.

A hard worker, but impatient for results. Self-conscious. Stubborn. A good friend to Frog. Timid.

Must possess the playful and quirky personality of a lady bird and strong frenetic energy of a squirrel. Appears as LADY BIRD 1, MOUSE, SQUIRREL, YOUNG FROG, and MOLE.
