Next to Normal explores how one seemingly normal suburban family copes with mental illness as their mother, Diana, struggles with the effects of managing her bipolar disorder of 16 years. An emotional powerhouse rock musical and winner of three 2009 Tony Awards, including Best Musical Score, Next to Normal is a heart-wrenching and groundbreaking story of love, acceptance, grief, and family.

GAELEN GILLILAND as Diana
Gaelen Gilliland is an actress and Broadway singer known for her roles in Kinky Boots and Spongebob Squarepants on Broadway. Mostly recently seen as the Mayor of Bikini Bottom in the Broadway company of Spongebob Squarepants. Other Broadway credits include: Wicked, Legally Blonde (MTV Recording), 9 to 5, Honeymoon In Vegas, and Kinky Boots. Favorite roles: Hairspray (Velma von Tussle), 1776 (Abigail Adams), Guys & Dolls (Adelaide). Gaelen is returning to HTC for the first time since her fabulous performance at our Cabaret Gala in October of 2018, we're so excited to welcome her back!
