Montclair’s Studio Players host fundraising Night of Broadway Song
Broadway star Danny Zolli will be on stage at Studio Playhouse in Upper Montclair for A Night of Broadway Song. Danny Zolli is renowned as a vocal powerhouse with the ability to sing everything from Broadway to Rock & Roll. He is best known for his record-breaking number of performances as Jesus, Judas, and Annas in 27 productions of Jesus Christ, Superstar throughout the world. In addition, Danny has played Ché' in Evita, the title role in Candide, Tobias in Sweeney Todd and the lead in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. He has performed for three American Presidents and the Papal Cardinal Delegation from Rome and has shared the stage with many of the leading rock and Broadway performers of his generation.
Under the direction of Darren Gage, the evening will feature also feature Ben Liebert (of Verona (B’way: Wicked), who is a founder of Studio’s youth membership and the director of Studio’s November production of Into The Woods. Kay Koch and Lauren Berkman, who star in Into the Woods, as well as emerging local youth artists will also make appearances.
Proceeds benefit Montclair’s Studio Players as they kick off their 82nd season. Tickets are $25 for adults and $17 for students and seniors; discounts available for groups of 20 or more that prepay.
