Concerto Della Donna is a dynamic group of 18 young women, aged 17 to 31, who hail from across Canada. Based in Montreal, CDD members are university students, music teachers, community organizers, nurses, as well as jazz, folk, and classical musicians in their own right.
Drawing from these diverse backgrounds, CDD interprets a wide spectrum of traditional, classical and contemporary repertoire from both secular and liturgical sources, including madrigals, motets, Romantic lieder, spirituals, folk songs and avant-garde works. Their repertoire is drawn from countries all over the world, in numerous languages, placing particular emphasis on works by women composers and Canadian compositions.
