Improv inspired by local music. MUSICAL GUEST: JULIET CATHERINE
The Local Music Scene is an improv show that uses live music performed by local musicians as inspiration for improvised, comedic scenes. It is produced and hosted by Philip Simondet and directed by Sarah Arnold-Simondet, and has been running monthly at Bryant Lake Bowl since 2015.
Jazzy songstress Juliet Catherine writes sweet and intricate songs influenced by swing era jazz, classic rock, funk, and R&B. She grew up in rural Montana, settling in the Twin Cities for college. Her music captures stories of falling hard, queer heartache, and the places she has called home. Making music professionally from a young age, Juliet has earned recognition in the John Lennon International Songwriting Contest and at the NAMM music convention in Anaheim, CA. You can catch Juliet performing around town solo or with her band, Juliet and the Montagues.
