It’s all fun and games–until the grownups get hurt. A playground altercation between eleven-year-old boys brings together two sets of Brooklyn parents for a meeting to resolve the matter. At first, diplomatic niceties are observed but, as the meeting progresses, tensions emerge and the gloves come off as neighborly decorum disintegrates into laugh-out-loud, no-holds-barred mayhem. The 2009 Tony Award winner for Best Play, Yasmina Reza’s GOD OF CARNAGE is an energetic and hilarious triumph, showing us what is underneath the polite façade of these upper class adults. Contains strong language and adult content.
