The SpongeBob Musical promises the “best day ever” The animated series comes to a Downriver stage for one weekend only (Lincoln Park, Mich.) - Take a trip to Bikini Bottom with Spectrum Staging, LLC as they present their theatrical debut The SpongeBob Musical: Youth Edition, August 11-13 at the Chandler Center of Lincoln Park. Written by Kyle Jarrow and featuring songs from popular artists, the musical comedy follows SpongeBob SquarePants and company as they try to save their homes in Bikini Bottom from the volcanic eruptions of Mount Humongous. Will the town be consumed by lava or can optimism and friendship save the day? The 60-minute show features director Ashley Marie, vocal director Hannah Allie, choreographers Sydney Bramlett and Ashley Marie, production manager Catherine Long, technical director Val Compau, stage manager Andrew Willingham, and set painter Alexander Shane. The SpongeBob Musical follows the story of our three unlikely heroes - Bianka Bryant as SpongeBob Squarepants, Autumn Stevens as Patrick Star, and Casey Morgan as Sandy Cheeks. Appearing as the rest of the iconic Bikini Bottom citizens are Sarah Cook as Squidward, David Miles Davis as Mr. Krabs, Bea Fredericks as Pearl, John Cullinan as French Narrator, Westin Woody as Gary the Snail and Larry the Lobster, Arthur “Thor” Edwards as Plankton, Ciera Corso as Karen, Alex Arrington-Harris as Mayor, Julianne Moreno as Perch Perkins, Arya Labadie as Mrs. Puff, and Sheamus Hall as Old Man Jenkins. Rounding out our cast are the three Electric Skates played by Ava Allen, Molly Gamber, and Grace Bock, who also served as the student producer, choreographer, and costumer respectively. The student staff is comprised of director Evan Potter, stage manager Joel Lazenby, technical director and sound designer Cruz Horrigan, lighting designer Nick Hinks, and prop designer Caleb Stewart. Show dates are August 11-13, 2023, with Friday and Saturday performances at 7 pm and Sunday performances at 2 pm. The Chandler Center is located at 2069 Chandler Ave, Lincoln Park MI 48146. Tickets are $15 and are available at the door and online at spectrumstagingllc.ludus.com. All proceeds benefit The Chandler Center, a local charitable community center which provides services, including a food pantry and clothing closet, for needy families and individuals.
