The Pigeon Creek Shakespeare Company brings its outstanding production of Much Ado About Nothing to the Container Globe for a one-day only performance, September 7 at 5 p.m.. This is a pay-what-you-will performance, and audience members can either make a contribution on-site or online at www.pcshakespeare.com/onstage. The Container Globe is a spectacular new venue that re-creates the structure of Shakespeare's Globe with shipping containers. Pigeon Creek is a touring company based in West Michigan. Pigeon Creek's actors bring Shakespeare's language to life in a lively, audience-interactive atmosphere. Much Ado About Nothing is directed by Dennis Henry, a former actor with the American Shakespeare Center and current theatre professor at Ferris State University. Much Ado follows the story of bickering lovers Beatrice and Benedick, whose friends conspire to make them admit their love for each other. The show is laugh-out-loud funny and fast-paced. Audience members should be aware that this is an outdoor venue. Water and sunscreen are recommended! For further information about the production, contact the Pigeon Creek Shakespeare Company at 616-566-4758.
