The S. S. American is sailing on a fun-filled adventure between New York and England with a comical passenger list: a brassy nightclub singer, Reno Sweeney (Danielle Caralis of Birmingham), a starry-eyed stowaway, Billy Crocker (Michael McKiddy of Warren) and Public Enemy No. 13, Moonface Martin (Michael A. Gravame of Detroit). Throw into the mix a lovelorn debutant, Hope Harcourt (Stephanie Butler of Grosse Pointe Park), an English Gentleman, Lord Evelyn Oakley (Tom Pagano of Clinton Twp.), a red headed gangster’s moll, Erma (Lindsey Tycholiz of Sterling Heights) and a band of colorful characters and you’re bound for romance and laughter. This rousing, big dance musical spectacular is an amusing story wrapped around the charmed music of Cole Porter. Song, dance, and farcical antics ensue as Reno and Moonface try to help Billy win the love of his life. It’s a wonder that all the romances are sorted out and disaster is averted aboard this madcap ship. Anything Goes has some of the greatest song standards ever written: “I Get a Kick Out Of You”, “Easy To Love”, “You’re The Top”, “Friendship”, “Buddy Beware”, and of course “Anything Goes”. Anything Goes is a must see! Why? “It’s delightful, it’s delicious, it’s de-lovely!!!”
