Considered one of George Balanchine’s signature works, Concerto Barocco is set to a glorious Bach Violin Concerto. Leading contemporary choreographer Nacho Duato’s Jardí Tancat, basedon Catalan folk songs, is lyrical, soulful and profoundly Spanish. And created for MCB by visionary choreographer Alexei Ratmansky, the dramatic, fast-paced Symphonic Dances – set to Sergei Rachmaninoff’s powerful score – is back by popular demand.
