Marion Grodin was born funny. How could she not have been. It's in her DNA. Of course, her father, the comedy icon, Charles Grodin passed along all his "funny", but this legacy goes way back. Marion's paternal Great Grandfather was actually a Talmudic Scholar whose students would come from very far away to hear him teach because he was so popular for his phenomenal ability to make the Torah humorous! His hilarious anecdotes were famous near and far! And then on her Mother's side, Marion's extraordinarily funny Grandmother, her "Mama" is actually one of the main characters in Marion's hysterical show, "Growing Up Grodin"...which traces how this comedy dynamo evolved into being one of the countries' funniest, warmest, most relatable comedians, working today. In the fabulous journey Marion takes her audience on in "Growing Up Grodin" we get a behind the scenes look at how growing up around such eccentric, colorful, characters, made Marion who she is today!
Marion Grodin had been a Nationally Headlining Comedian for the last fifteen years. She has opened for Lewis Black, Linda Ronstadt, Robert Klein, to name just a few. She is also a favorite on the Philanthropic Circuit, performing regularly for organizations such as Gilda's Club, JCC's Nationwide, as well as having recently co-hosted the Juvenile Diabetes Annual Fundraiser alongside Mary Tyler Moore. Along with her unforgettable live performances, Marion has also appeared on The Conan O'brien Show, The Joy Behar Show, and just made her second appearance on The View.
