A veteran and versatile performer, L.A. Hardy is originally from Cleveland, then was transplanted to Los Angeles, and is now based out of South Florida. A natural actor, he has been seen on MTV, VH1, ABC's According to Jim, and has voice credits in the movie Guess Who with Bernie Mac, and experience in stand-up on BET'sComicView, indie films such as China Dolls, Footsteps, The Good Fight, The Last Angry Black Man, and Universal Remote with Charlie Murphy. L.A. has a face you've seen before and want to see again. He has performed stand-up comedy for the U.S. military and was among the first of a group of comedians to perform in Iraq in August and September of 2003. In 2004, he travelled and entertained the troops in Afghanistan. He has headlined tours worldwide in over 35 countries for the USO, The Department Of Defense, Comics On Duty, and AKA Productions since 1994. L.A.'s comedy is reality-based; he draws his humor from events that have taken place in his life or could happen in yours. A young dad with a wife and two kids, and a strong family base of operations in Las Vegas and Los Angeles, he headlines regularly at clubs, colleges, corporate events and cruise ships.
Described by some as the ”Black Dr. Phil” because of his real-life observations and no-holds-barred style, he has the ability to make you laugh and reflect while continually entertaining you. A child of the 70s, but a man of today, he has old school sensibilities and an uncanny ability to relate to the new school of comedy.
