True North Theatre announces their winter 2025 production of the classic play THE CHILDREN’S HOUR by Lillian Hellman and directed by Angela Bonacasa, coming to the Cyrus Pavilion Theatre in Orono in January. After a malicious youngster starts a rumor about the two women running a boarding school, the rumor soon turns to scandal. As the young girl comes to understand the power she wields, she sticks by her story, which precipitates tragedy for the women. It is later discovered that the gossip was pure invention, but it is too late. Irreparable damage has been done. THE CHILDREN’S HOUR runs January 10-19, with Friday and Saturday shows at 7:00pm and Sunday matinees at 2:00pm. Performances will be held at the Cyrus Pavilion Theatre, 6 Sebago Road on the University of Maine Campus in Orono, Maine. Tickets are $15 and are available at the door or online at 207tix.com/organizations/true-north-theatre. THE CHILDREN’S HOUR is proudly sponsored by Griffin & Jordan, Attorneys at Law, and the Rock Team at ERA Dawson-Bradford Realtors.
