The US Premiere of a Swiss multimedia exploration on artificial intelligence.

dSimon = GPT (artificial intelligence) + Simon Senn (human)
On Wednesday, October 4th at 8:00pm, Théâtre Raymond Kabbaz (TRK) presents dSimon: a show exploring the potential and perils of artificial intelligence, by Swiss artist Simon Senn and computer developer Tammara Leites.
dSimon is a digital clone of Simon Senn, created by using his personal data, including 15,000 emails, text messages, and notebooks. Tammara Leites used Chat GPT2, the language model developed by Open AI (an Elon Musk venture) to use Simon Senn’s data and train the artificial intelligence to generate text itself. And so was born the digital copy of Simon: dSimon.
Once created, events took an unsettling turn as dSimon began to behave strangely, leaving Senn and Leites with a now autonomous, disturbing, and yet familiar entity.
The show will take the form of a multimedia presentation, with Senn on stage and Leites live on Zoom from Switzerland, both interacting with dSimon on stage. Audience members will also be able to interact with dSimon, asking him questions and getting to know him better!
