El Camino Colleges Theater of Arts Department is proud to announce the first in-person performance of the 2021-2022 academic year with the live presentation of Psycho Beach Party, at the Campus Theater located near the corner of Crenshaw and Redondo Beach Boulevards. Performances run October 15, 16, 22, and 23 at 8 p.m., and a Sunday, October 17 matinee at 3p.m. Tickets are available at www.centerforthearts.org. Set on the sunny beaches of Malibu in the early 1960s, Psycho Beach Party is a celebration of zany, irreverent campiness at its finest. Described as a Gidget Goes Psycho presentation, this comedy tells the story of a would-be surfer girl harboring a deep, dark secret. This play is a must-see for anyone interested in surfing, shaving, or split-personalitiesor never thought they were. According to the plays director, Matthew Singletary, this performance likens itself to the sandy classic, Beach Blanket Bingo, but with a very mature storyline.
