Loyola Marymount University will present virtual performances of Caryl Churchills Love and Information Wednesday, March 24 through Saturday, March 27, at 8 p.m.
More than 100 members of LMUs theatre arts community have joined together -- while apart -- to create this mega-stream of online theatre. The production is directed by Dana Resnick, clinical associate professor of theatre arts.
Love and Information is a montage of scenarios elucidating the complexities of how we interact, communicate and navigate the world through technology, time and space. As we all are confined to digital boxes, are we really together or apart? Or are the means we use to form bonds and nurture humanity able to exist beyond the boundaries of technology and defined parameters?
Audience members are invited to immerse themselves in a journey of the imagination. Churchill, the playwright, provides us with a formula for theatrical exploration and innovation, and we accept the challenge.
The show is presented with permission of Concord Theatricals. LMU Theatre Arts is part of the College of Communication and Fine Arts.
