Guild Hall and Where Are They Going Theatre Group present EXTINCTION by Gabe McKinley previewing March 30-31, opening April 1, and running Wednesdays to Sundays through April 16. Josh Gladstone, Artistic Director at the John Drew Theater, directs this intimate production where the audience will be seated in the round on the John Drew stage. The play explores the evolution of friendships and the desire to preserve them no matter what the cost. The cast features four talented young actors Brynne Kraynak, Raye Levine, Sawyer Spielberg, and Eric Svendsen performing this darkly funny drama which contains adult language and is recommended for mature audiences. Sawyer Spielberg first brought EXTINCTION to Guild Hall as a 2016 JDTLab work-in-progress. Josh Gladstone saw the potential and offered to direct the play as a full production. Gladstone has worked with Spielberg on numerous East End projects including The Diary of Ann Frank and Of Mice and Men at Bay St as well as the Round Table Theatre Company’s Hamlet. This production is produced by Sawyer Spielbeg and Raye Levine, who is also the set designer. The Barefoot Theatre Company is the Associate Producer. Lighting design is by Sebastian Paczynski and Tyler Withrop is the Stage Manager.
