Eddie Goes to Poetry City

by Richard Foreman

directed by Greg Dean

“You’re a mirror, Eddie.”

Eddie dreams of escape—from cruel co-workers, a doctor who is not a doctor, perhaps even the play itself! He dreams of escaping to Poetry City. When he arrives, he realizes it is actually his suffering and bewilderment that provide the keys to a new world, one vibrating with infinite possibilities.

“[Foreman is] the reigning philosopher vaudevillian of the New York avant-garde…creating fractured dreamscapes in which life is the banana cream pie that keeps hitting you in the face.” – New York Times

Eddie Goes to Poetry City is directed and designed by Greg Dean and stars Noel Bowers, Karina Pal Montaño-Bowers, Jenna Morris, and Gabriel Regojo.

The production runs February 10 – March 4, 2023 at the Midtown Arts and Theater
