Fulfilling an unbroken 30 year old tradition, Robert Cazimero, of The Brothers Cazimero, will celebrate May Day in Waimea in 2015. Nothing beats Hawaiian music with Robert on piano!
The Brothers Cazimero are consummate musicians who have made their indelible imprint on the face of contemporary Hawaiian music. Their talent, longevity and sales success have placed them in the history of Hawaiian music. The pair grew up in a large musical family. As young students at Kamehameha Schools, they performed with their family’s band several nights a week.
Robert explains “Whether you’re going to play at the Carnegie Hall or in Sam Kapu’s garage at Kapahulu, it’s the product and talent and the love that you bring that makes that place a Mercedes or Carnegie Hall. It really doesn’t matter about all the damn accoutrements. It’s what you feel and what you bring to that moment.”
