Waimea’s own Prince Dance is back home at the Kahilu Theatre. Prince Dance Institute at the Kahilu teaches movement from ballet to trapeze, and acting, with fourteen after-school classes a week. The students from age three to eighty-three will come together in “Legends of the Forest” to bring awareness to the movement for reforesting Hawaii.
The “Living Colors” show last year provided a spectacular reminder of the joy of young people dancing! This year we have added adult classes in ballet, contemporary dance, and hula – expect over one hundred dancers from toddler to senior!
This is a new performance devised by Angel Prince with the teachers of the after-school classes at Kahilu – themed around the need for replanting and reforestation throughout Hawaii. Expect beautiful choreography, music, and design - and extremely talented kids from our community.
