The Suffragette’s Murder is a farcical whodunit set on July 5, 1857, in a bustling Manhattan boarding house. As tenants prepare for a secret women's suffrage gathering, an unexpected visit from a constable disrupts their plans when a murder occurs. To evade suspicion, the eclectic group must concoct an elaborate ruse, which unveils deeper examinations of early American suffrage movements and the political forces that sought to silence feminist voices. The play, written by Sandy Rustin and directed by Margot Bordelon, is a highly anticipated world premiere at the Denver Center Theatre Company.
