Abril is a new musical inspired by the experiences of Gina Naomi Baez, featuring a talented cast that includes Mary Testa, Jodi Stevens, and Howard Albert. The story follows Abril, a Latina woman who, faced with shocking news, revisits her teenage years as a cancer survivor navigating high school challenges, bullying, and the complexities of authority figures. With a demo recorded at Reservoir Studios, the production showcases an original book, music, and lyrics by Baez, along with music direction by Benjamin Doyle.
