The Bop She Bops! at The Ohio Theatre Lima

In the vein of the Hit Broadway Musicals “Beehive”, “Hairspray”, and “The Marvelous Wonderettes”, “The Bop She Bops!” a musical comedy celebration of 60’s Girl Groups is set to play The Ohio Theatre this Summer!

This Fun and Fabulous Show Conceived and Directed by Michael Bouson and Joe Correll with Choreography by Danielle Siefker  features Five Female Friends who form a 60's Throwback Girl Group to perform at a Harper Valley PTA Fundraiser. Act One shows the 'girls' rehearsing in the ringleader Helen's rec room - there's laughter, tears and a few tense moments as the women embark on a journey none of them had ever dreamed of. Act Two features their triumphant performance at the fundraiser which will make your heart soar as you're dancing in your seats! Combining Great Music, a Great Story and a Great Cast makes for a Glorious and Unforgettable Evening of Theatre. Come celebrate "Girl Power" and watch these WONDERFUL WOMEN SHINE!

“The Bop She Bops!” had its World Premiere (Directed by Kate Gladfelter) in Nashville in 1990 and played to sold out crowds every night. The award-winning Avante Garage Theatre Company has updated and re-worked this show with an all local cast featuring TWO Mother/Daughter Dynamic Duos: Kristin & Virgo Lee and Tryna & Stacee Brown as well as Danielle Denison who, in 2019, starred in another 60’s Musical - the beloved Octopus Productions’ Presentation of “Sweet Charity.”
