Rover Dramawerks opens its 25th season with the U.S. premiere of The Shakespeare Conspiracy, a comic romantic tragic comedy by Andrew Shepherd. In a world where Shakespeare's characters are real, Iago, played by Cameron McElyea, conspires with Lady Macbeth and other notorious figures to wreak havoc, while an unsuspecting travel agent named Martin, portrayed by Michael McMillan, becomes humanity's last hope. The play is directed by Carol M. Rice and features an ensemble cast including Matt Gunther, Heather Walker Shin, and Daniel White. Audiences will be treated to a tale that intertwines Shakespearean lore with an epic struggle against time and prophecy.
