The Academy for the Performing Arts (APA) is a magnet arts program for the Huntington Beach Union High School District. Its Music Media and Entertainment Technology department is unique in music education in that it boasts Pop Music and Media majors.
Now in its seventh year, Music Media Entertainment Technology (MMET) is proud to present “Playlist.” The Pop Music majors have created a show devoted to new music, featuring current and trending artists as well as a showcase for their own original compositions and original bands. The music is enhanced by music videos and original short films by the MMET Media Team. This is an entirely student-curated show that speaks directly to their generation, while upholding the same high entertainment standards you have come to expect from APA.
