Journey with us to the Golden Age of the Cotton Club for a sassy, swinging, and sultry evening celebrating the music of inimitable Thomas "Fats" Waller! This Tony Award-winning musical hits the Near West Theatre (NWT) stage starting on February 10 and runs for two weekends only in the heart of the Gordon Square Arts District. This tribute features five triple-threat performers sharing Fats Waller’s life through comedy and Jazz music, featuring some of Waller's beloved tunes including, "Honeysuckle Rose", "Handful of Keys", "Your Feet's Too Big" and many more! The musical runs two weekends: Feb. 10, 11, 17, and 18 at 7:30 p.m.; Feb. 12, 19 at 2:00 p.m. . Tickets are a suggested donation of $15 for adults and $12 for children under 12. Pay What You Can ticketing also is available. Tickets are available at nearwesttheatre.org or by calling the Box Office at 216-961-6391 on weekdays, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The theater, constructed as part of the Gordon Square Arts District capital campaign, is at 6702 Detroit Avenue. The facility is a state-of-the-art, ADA-compliant building that is climate controlled and fully accessible by wheelchair. “Ain’t Misbehavin’” - The Fats Waller Musical Show “Ain’t Misbehavin’” is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI).
