Contemporary Dance Theater welcomes David Roussève / REALITY, from New York, in a performance of their dance, theatre, and video work, Stardust.
Stardust explores the ever-evolving nature of intimacy in our technology-driven, furiously placed world.
Redefining the coming of age story for the electronic age, the evening follows an African American gay urban teenager's relentless search for love and hope in a life that seems bereft of both. This character never appears physically on stage, but we know him by the emotion-laden text messages he sends, by music that comforts and challenges him, and by dance movements that are the analog of his states of mind and heart.
