Where Did We Sit on the Bus? is a solo musical by Brian Quijada, featuring Chicago artist Satya Chavez. The story centers around a young Latina girl who, during a civil rights lesson, asks her teacher where she would have sat on the bus. The performance combines Latin rhythms, hip-hop, and live-looping to explore themes of identity and belonging in America. This limited engagement runs from November 15 to 17 at Steppenwolf Theatre.
