The Other Witch, created by award-winning choreographer Nejla Yatkin, will have its live debut at the Ruth Page Center for the Arts in Chicago on November 9, 2024. This deeply evocative work blends dance, ritual, and multimedia to explore themes of otherness and transformation, reflecting on the human psyche through its portrayal of the archetypes of the witch and shaman. Following its successful virtual premiere in 2021, the live performance aims to enhance the communal experience, inviting audiences to engage more intimately with the music, dance, and space. A post-performance discussion with historian Susan Manning will provide additional insight into the piece's intricate layers.
