Founded in 1999, The Lakeside Singers are dedicated to bridging the worlds of classical and contemporary choral music with a membership that is drawn from both disciplines. The Lakeside Singers programs combine cross-cultural classical literature from around the world with stylistically authentic arrangements of jazz, gospel, rock, folk, R&B and other contemporary genres. Headquartered in Evanston, The Lakeside Singers come from all around the Chicago area from as far away as Oswego, Lake Zurich, Elmhurst, Oak Park, Batavia and the citys south side. Since our first performance in 1999, we have performed 189 times in 27 languages, presented 771 compositions and arrangements, commissioned 247 arrangements, and introduced 16 world premiers. The magic of the holiday season occurs the moment we all sing together, combining our voices with no other agenda than to celebrate our mutual humanity.Monday, December 9, 2019 7:30 P.M.Tickets $35; Seniors & Students $25www.MetropolisArts.comBox Office: 847-577-2121
