Children in the audience volunteer to perform on stage with professional adult improvisers in a completely made up story.
A narrator walks on stage to find a storybook with no text and learns the actors scheduled to perform are stuck in traffic! The solution? Have children from the audience volunteer to come on stage and choose a character to become in:
The Greatest Story Never Told!
Performing volunteers get to adorn silly costumes and help "The Greatest Interns" (professional adult improvisers) make up a story on the spot based on audience suggestions. Every child that wants to perform is given an opportunity. There is no forced participation.
After the show, a design team transforms the original improvised story into a purchasable storybook.
This is an all ages show particularly great for ages 4-14. Children age 2 and younger are FREE.
Shows are Saturdays & Sundays @ 3:00pm in Lakeview/Wrigleyville. Doors open at 2:30pm. Join us before the show for coloring, crafts, board games & dress up fun on the stage. A wide variety of nut free snacks and locally roasted coffee are provided at no charge at every performance.
"It was one of the best shows I have ever seen in my whole life!"
