This digital workshop will take place via Zoom on Thursday, September 3rd at 6:00PM CST. Come sit with Kenny as he talks about the differences in working in Educational vs Community vs Professional Theatre, as well as the process of design from ideas to getting a show on stage through all technical sides of theatre! He quickly decided he enjoyed the backstage area much more than being on the stage.During the years Kenny has been involved in almost every aspect of technical theater. Kenny completed lighting design internships at the Broadway Theaters production of Miss Saigon, as well as Kansas Citys Starlight Theaters summer season.Since that time, he has held just about every position available backstage, as well as becoming a designer in lighting, sound, set, and projections and has since moved in technical direction positions that included childrens, community, and professional theater companies. Kenny is currently the Technical Director at Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas where he teaches stagecraft and design classes.
