This musical feast of Sondheim favorites weaves a lyrical tapestry around the emotions and relationships of five guests attending an elegant, and ultimately life changing, cocktail party. Humorous, poignant, sexy and sophisticated this “revue” like no other is the story of a mature couple, marriage precariously on the brink, who encounter love in blossom among two of the younger party guests. As a mysterious stranger hosts the evening, an intricate, funny and moving song-cycle evolves from the music of the foremost theatrical composer of our time.
