Mucca Pazza: For the Record
An intimate four-night live recording event.
Mucca Pazza’s 30-odd member lineup gets audiences of all ages jumping for joy: moving in choreography while dressed in mismatched marching band uniforms and anchored by a rollicking drumline, Mucca Pazza combines familiar marching band instruments (trumpets, trombones, saxes and sousaphones) with some stranger ones (guitar, mandolin, violin, cello and accordion.) To top it all off, cheerleaders perform absurdist cheers and sketches, dance along to the music, and keep the audience on its toes with physical comedy. Born in a Chicago steel mill parking lot, Mucca Pazza celebrates 20 years as a band in 2024. Ever pushing artistic boundaries, Mucca Pazza now invites the public to an intimate four-night live recording event that sees them recalling earlier versions of their “Sitting in Chairs” configuration while showcasing a host of new music. Come be a part of the magic!
