Every Brilliant Thing is an insightful play about depression that tells the story of a child coping with a parent’s struggles. As a six-year-old, the protagonist creates a list of the world’s wonders, from ice cream to Kung Fu movies, in an effort to bring joy to their mother. Starring Karen Johnson Diamond, this production from Verb Theatre explores the complexities of love and the importance of finding light in dark times. Written by Duncan MacMillan and Jonny Donahoe, and directed by Kathryn Smith, the play balances heavy themes with heartfelt moments.
