Naperville Public Library (Illinois) Presents a Solo VIRTUAL Performance by History At Play™, LLC honoring an Educational Pioneer and Teacher In Space. Judith Kalaora, as Christa McAuliffe, in “CHALLENGER: Soaring with Christa McAuliffe™,” one of many historic figures featured in the company’s repertoire. History At Play™, LLC (HAP) has garnered nationwide acclaim for their Immersive Living History Experiences, chronicling the lives of legendary figures who changed society. Their performances have received accolades from journalists, actors, and historians alike and have earned statewide and national recognition. Now, the acclaimed solo performance, “CHALLENGER: Soaring with Christa McAuliffe™,” will be performed on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at 2:00 PM EST/1:00 PM CST. The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required as the event and fills quickly. Registration will be available soon. Running time: Approx. 80 minutes. Who was America's favorite teacher? Ask anyone what they know about Christa McAuliffe and they will tell you exactly where they were when the NASA Challenger shuttle mission launched; however, few people understand who Mrs. McAuliffe really was. America's Teacher in Space was an educational pioneer and her goals and accomplishments are explored in this virtual performance experience, which debuted in 2016.
