Artemisia Theatre presents the WeWomen Play Festival, showcasing six plays by feminist playwrights from the Chicagoland area. Among these is Lani Montreal's Anak ni Tapia: Leaving Mother, directed by Daisy Castro, which explores themes of identity and belonging. The festival runs from November 4th to November 16th, 2024, featuring a different play reading each night, held in the Little Studio at the Fine Arts Building in downtown Chicago. Each play highlights the voices and experiences of women through powerful storytelling.
