The Village Cidiot, written and performed by Lauren Letellier, follows the story of a Manhattanite who, after losing her corporate job, must adapt to life in a small Hudson Valley town. As tensions rise between local residents and the newcomers they call "Cidiots," Letellier's journey becomes a humorous and poignant exploration of reinvention in the face of unexpected change. Directed by Martha Wollner, the show has garnered critical acclaim, resonating with audiences for its relatable themes of loss and renewal. The production will be showcased at the Rochester Fringe Festival from September 10 to September 14, 2024.
